My grandma's condition wasn't anything but hard for me and my family to deal with. Everyday with her was a roller coaster that held many twists and turns and couldn't stay on the track. If you didn't hold on tight, you’d thrown off. You never knew what she would remember each morning that she woke. Some days she would know the date and she was aware of her surroundings, while other days (which weren’t so great), she'd be back in time when her husband was alive and she’d call for him. Then she’d be puzzled as to why he wouldn't call her name back. When my mom would bear her the bad news he has been gone for years, my great grandma turned as silent as a mouse for the remainder of the day, wallowing in her sorrow. Yet, as her memory faded, mine…

This wasn’t Jesse’s first rodeo, but it was for the rest of us. He signed us up for a skiing lesson while we were there. Lessons were every hour. All of us had to wait thirty minutes for the next lesson to start. In the meantime, there was a small ski slope that they had for beginners to go down. To waste time, we decided to see how much we could do with ourselves without a lesson. Not even three minutes after my mom and I had put our skis on, my mom began sliding down the slope. She didn’t know how to do anything so she fell. The look on her face looked like she was ready to murder someone. As soon as she fell, it instantly puts her in a bad mood. I, being the funny person I am, though I had no idea what I was doing and yelled to my mom, “ Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll help you!” Well, as I walked over to help her up, I started sliding and I had no idea what to do and I ended up falling down right next to her. I turned my mom’s frown upside down. She started laughing at me. I was kind of aggravated that I fell, but me falling made my mom in a better mood, so I wasn’t really…
