Week 1: Analysis of Famous Leaders – Henry Ford
Henry Ford is the founder of the Ford Motor Company, at the same time an inventor of the modern day assembly line method of production for his Model T cars. Nowadays, due to the strength of his leadership, Ford Motor Company has dealerships all over the world, and is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world.
Nevertheless every leader has their strength and weakness. So for starters I would go on with strength as Ford lived in a farm that was born with talents on dealt with mechanics and tools, which soon enhances his creativity of ideas to design and invent a better automobile. For hitting the extra points he is an optimistic person which inspires and motivates many people, especially his workers. He is a risk taker and more or less able to stay independent to be a problem solver at 24/7. Plus, he was a self-believer in his work and a workaholic. Moreover, he is an appreciator, which he values his workers a lot by giving an extremely high pay for all his works in the assembly lines. To him for having strong team members is vital, unity hearts of workers that survives with Ford through obstacles which what makes him today as one of his saying goes, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success”.
However, everybody has their weakness which includes Ford himself. It seems to be he is an idealistic man with his own way of dealing things with no will to standardize things, which sometimes leads him hardly does well being a focus listener to others. He finds difficulties in dealing with emotions, thus he ignores feelings and the emotional reality of a situation, thus seeming insensitive or uncaring to others. Additionally, he pretty much restraint his feelings a lot with others by keeping most of his problems in heart.
