i am new to this.... so..... hey there
“NOVA!!” Shauna yelled and I snapped back to reality she was dragged me onto the stage. All of a sudden I was extremely nervous.
Some stage hands put stools out and fixed the microphones so we could sing. One of the stage hands then used the microphone to introduce us, “Welcome the Yin Yang Pups!”
The crowd cheered excitedly when we walked out on to the stage. We took our seats on the stools and got comfortable.
“Hey guys! I’m Shauna and this is Nova,” Shauna said. The audience cheered again.
“Hello! Well for starters we are going to play Crushcrushcrush by Paramore.” I said and the audience cheered again.
We began playing and for some reason my eyes were drawn to the back of the crowd. I saw Dakota and we locked eyes again. I played like we were the only ones who existed. Shauna and I finished the song strong and the crowd was going nuts.
“You like that?” Shauna asked and the crowd cheered.
“Well you will like this next song too,” I said.
“Weightless by All Time Low,” Shauna informed them.
We fed off the audience’s energy and I could see Dakota cheering with a huge smile on his face. My heart throbbed and I felt the adrenaline spike through my veins. Shauna and I alternated singing back in forth in this song. Taking turns like we practiced. We finished another song and the audience liked it. I heard Dakota and his band yelling in the back. I laughed at the crowds reaction.
We let the crowd die down a bit. “Thank you guys so much. Now we are going to play In The Dark by Flyleaf,” Shauna said.
I took over all the singing for this one because Shauna wasn’t able to reach some of the notes so she just wanted to be back up for this one. This song was so much fun to sing. The audience really liked this song. I looked back at Dakota and he looked mesmerized. I bet I look pretty love struck too.
The song ended and me and Shauna were laughing again. We high fived and then Shauna said, “Hey... [continues]
