Healthy Eating Plan Comparison
During the first week of this class, I do recall writing a paper that states the breakdown of
my food intake and many terms on how I can incorporate daily changes to increase my nutrition
needs. I also stated that the site My Pyramid Plan (mypyramidplan.gov) is very useful and I
strongly agree and had already recommended it to my co-workers. Since the start of this class
I’ve been so aware of what I would introduce in my system and it has helped me is so many
categories. According to the site my calorie intake needs to be more or less than average for my
age as a 32 year old female. In order for me to maintain a healthy weight and go no less or more
My Pyramid recommended for me to stay within the 2200 calories daily.
I am not a heavy fan of vegetables and fruits but since then a lot has changed within the
past week. Not even the past week but let’s say within the six weeks range I’ve been pretty much
eating healthy. I’ve incorporated more vegetables and fruits in my diet, drank more milk,
increased my whole grain intake, and made more shakes mixed with different vegetables and
fruits. Not only did I make some changes on my food intake but also my daily physical fitness.
Being in the military there are lots of changes that we go through as far as training and our every
day agenda. Every morning I make it a habit to do cardio at least for 45 mins than weights for
another 20 mins. For my breakfast I then eat 6 eggs whites, a bowl of oatmeal and then my daily
multivitamins. At around 10:30 am I then a at least 5 oz of chicken breast with a cup of... [continues]
