ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to discuss, and identify, the legal, ethical and business considerations within the selection process of hiring a managerial position. The search committee has completed their national search. This paper will explain the importance of how the decision of the search committee has an obligation to report accurate information to the Vice President for Health Services on the selected candidate. The health condition of a person should not determine if a person is selected for a particular position. This paper will explain if a person rights have been violated based on the legal ethical and businesses considerations. As professional health services employees, professionalism must be maintained.
The Vice President for Health Services has appointed a search committee to hire a new team leader. The Final member who is qualified for the position suffers with a disability that is unclear. The search committee completed their choice out of five candidates. Their first choice is the same as the choice for the Vice president for health services. The Vice president was concerned about the health of the chosen candidate and was selected even though he was honest about his health condition.
