o A person who doesn’t have any mean to earn is considering as unemployed. o Unemployment is a universal problem every country faces it. o Unemployment produces very serious problems for the unemployed as well as for the young people. o The causes of unemployment are many, defective system of education, uneven distribution of wealth and land, over population. o We can over come unemployment by controlling the growth in our population and removing the defects of our educational system.

A person who doesn’t have a work to earn his livelihood is called an unemployed person. Unemployment is a universal problem. Everybody faces it. Even the developed countries like Britain and America face it. Unemployment exists at two levels in our country. There are uneducated people who have no source of income in this country. Unemployment also exists among the educated people. As people have degrees but there is no opportunity to use that degree as there is no job. This is very dangerous in result.

Thousands of people holding masters degree are wandering idle and out of job. There are countless doctors, engineers and scientists who have degree in their hand but they are unemployed. Even people with foreign qualification are wandering aimlessly in search of jobs. There are many thousands of unemployed laborers, farm workers in villages and workers in cities who are daily bread winners. Sometimes they do not get work for days and weeks together.

The causes of the large scale unemployment are many…

Our system of education is defective. It does not fulfill our social and economic needs. It aims at producing clerks and peons instead of technicians and skillful workers. Our country is marching on the road to progress. It needs scientist’s technical hands and skillful workers. Our education produces young graduates who don’t like to work with hands. They dream of rosy life without doing manual work. We must change our education and harness it to the economic needs of the country,

Our country is not much advanced in industry. We have a few mills and factories. We cannot absorb all jobless people in these factories and mills that are few in number.

The industry of the country is controlled by a few privileged people. They do not let other to share their authorities, experiences, and capitals. If they make little sacrifice they can raise a network of industries in the country to provide opportunities to jobless people.  Here the educated people neither have the opportunity nor the capital to set up an industry. The industrialists can give an incentive to educated people to set up new industries and mills.

Our population is increasing fast. It is very difficult to provide jobs to such a large number of population which increases every year. Our country is developing and its sources are limited. Moreover our country is ruled by feudal lords and capitalists. There doesn’t exist justice and fair distribution of wealth and human rights. The country is sharply divided into two classes.
