The owner of a local food establishment in Jamestown North Dakota is not properly dating and labeling the baked goods and sandwiches. This is a health hazard for anyone who goes in there to eat lunch as not even the employees actually know if the food products are good. The owner knows the laws and the health code regulations and is just not following them. The goal of this proposal is to have all food labeled and dated by the end of September 2012 Problem
Due to the heavy turnover of employees the food is not being dated with use by dates properly. This could lead to customers getting sick or even worse suing the business. The health inspector was recently there and cited violations but nothing has been done to correct them (A. Kinzler Environmental Health Practitioner August 10, 2012) Solution
By showing the owner that I am aware of the health codes and regulations for a business I am hoping she will make sure that they are followed on a daily basis by all employees, not only me, so that no one ends up sick from eating there.
A local establishment does not seem to be following the health code rules and regulations as set forth by the state of North Dakota. This business does not date the products in its sandwich making table, or in its dessert case. There are no use by dates to be found anywhere. This could lead to many things; someone getting sick, the business getting shut down for a period of time by the inspectors, a customer suing them because they got sick, or even having to close their doors for good.
