Life is not just living and consuming years after years.As I understand, it is a God ‘s gift which needs to be protected ,preserved and nourished in a healthy way.Man struggles through out his life to achieve various goals that it sets for itself,however in most of the cases these remain a distant dream because they come face to face with dreaded diseases which stalls their progress.

Mankind is faced with large number of communicable as well as non communicable diseases.Some of these are totally curable whereas many are just manageable and not curable.Mankind has been working day and night against these diseases from times immemorial.We can say that there has been a continuous war between mankind and diseases.Of these, mankind has won quite a few battles like we have been able to eradicate Small pox from this world in 1980 and are on the verge of eradicating successfully the menace of Poliomyelitis from our society.Successful containence and cure of the diseases is a great challenge that we are faced with in modern times.Many battles are yet to be won and I want to be a part of the team which has taken upon itself to contribute to wipe the society of these dreaded diseases.To contribute to the cause I have decided to undertake higher education in the field of Public Health.My main objective is to have proper concept of how to tackle some of the most dangerous diseases in the world and use that knowledge for health improvement of our society.
