Statement of Purpose (MBA):

'What you have learnt is a mere handful, What you haven't is like the world in its size' Am a strong believer of this quote by a Tamil poet Avvaiyar who lived during Tamil Sangam period 2nd Century CE. Even after 16 years of successful education, I have always believed that continuous learning is the way to keep myself challenged and focused. In 1997, I completed my Civil Engineering from one of the prestigious institution - College of Engg, Anna University, Chennai with 8.2 CGPA (First class with Distinction). Even though I did my Civil Engg, when I got an opportunity to start my career with Tata Consultancy Services I did not hesitate to take it up. Started as a team member in Mainframe technology and continued as Technical lead. After 3 years, I joined another IT giant Cognizant Technology Solutions. Cognizant has seen tremendous growth in a decade. I continued as team lead and got promoted as Technical lead/Project lead. I have worked at client site in Alpharatta(USA), Waterloo (Canada), Hartford(USA), Macclesfield(UK) as lead and Manager which involves Client Management, Project Management. After successful project completions, got promoted as Asst. Manager-Projects in the year 2007. Since then working in Chennai, INDIA as a manager on few assigments. I have been involved with project management the last 7 years.

One of the advantage in my managerial tenure, I was able to work on various assignments involving complexities at different level - Transition Management, Testing Management, Account management portal development and Operations, Legacy application support(Mainframes). I was introduced to many work areas which involves Delivery methodology, Process, Metrics, Profitability, Quality, Invoicing, Resourcing, Team appraisal, Freshers recruitment.
