The world will one day cease to exist like all things do. There is no doubt that the world will one day end but the question is when? When will the world we know end? From history we have learned that no one has or will ever predict the accurate date as to when the world will end. The one thing that should be obvious to anyone living in this time period is that the end of the world has begun to emerge. The world is starting to change and that is clear for everyone to see. There has been an increase in wars, sickness and our once striving environment has begun to deteriorate. Religions and cultures have forewarned us of the devastation to come. The Mayans, one of the most advanced ancient civilizations, talked extensively of the world one day ending and science today has begun to support these theories. The conditions of today’s world are strongly showing evidence that the worlds end has begun and … it has begun.
Many religions today predict or make mention of the worlds end in some way. Since every religion has some type of theories about the worlds end, it is not effective to analyze each and every one but rather as a whole. According to Christianity we are currently living in the end of times. Christianity believes that Jesus Christ will return to the world to slay the antichrist. This event is referred to in the book of revelation as Armageddon. “At Armageddon, the antichrist, the kings of the earth and their combined armies will be gathered against Christ and the church to make war…..”( Hindson page 3 out of 22 chaper 10 ). Such predations or theories may sound unrealistic to individuals who are not of the same belief or seek proof; however there are prophecies that relate to modern times that require even skeptics to take another look. The events in the prophecies may not appear as they are written however it is up to individuals to keep their eyes open and interpret everyday signs. As the fight between Jesus and the antichrist is not something we are seeing today and may not be realistic to some, there are certain things we can relate to. "Of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, Page.3 nor the son, but only the Father" (Mark 13:32). From this quote it can be interpreted that there is no actual prediction about the definitive date of Armageddon. There are such quotes in the bible that can be taken as clues and have yet to be interpreted correctly. The prophecies in the book of revelation connect to the current world in many ways. One such prophecy is “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near… For this is the time of punishment in fulfilment of all that has been written” (luke 21:20:22) (appendix page 5 out of 25). This can be related to the current situation in the Middle East. There is constant warfare in the Middle East. It is a matter of time before a larger war breaks out which will lead to the involvement of many other countries similar to the previous world wars. Such a war would involve nuclear weapons and can ultimately lead to the end of the world. With all that’s going on with the nuclear weapons and the foreign relations is it easy to see why many people relate to the prophecy marking the end times. Another quote from the bible that supports this prophecy is “At Armageddon, the antichrist, the kings of the earth, and their combined armies will be gathered against Christ and the church to make war. Armageddon may actually be a war of witch this is the final battle. (Hindson , page 3 out of 22 chapter 10). Although it is not likely that the quote will apply in the literal sense to today’s world, it’s very possible to that Christ and the church are referred to as the democratic nations and the others are ones that are against democracy. Such a conflict will again result in great destruction and ultimately result in our end. “Many christens view terrorism, disease, and the economic crises as signs that end of the world is near. The book of revelation says that a ferocious global war will take place before judgment day” (Miller, page 11). If this is true, we have seen hurricanes such as Sandy, typhoons in Indonesia, and other natural disasters that have taken thousands of lives in recent years. It is not a

Page. 4 coincidence that the global warming threat is also upon us at the same time it is predicted that times will begin to change.
In the Middle East, much of the conflict between Israel and the Arab-Islamic nations seems to be over Israel's very existence. As seen the quote "We must constantly repeat that the root of the conflict is the very existence of the State of Israel, the refusal to recognize the State of Israel in any borders whatsoever." (Benjamin Netanyahu, 2012). It is truly scary to see this amount of hatred towards a nation and to see the connection of the prophecy to the real world today. The prophecies of the worlds end revolve around the conflict with Israel and war between nations or the world at war. The Christian faith also coincides with other major religions on how the world will be before it ends. One such religion is Hinduism. Hinduism describes how someday we will descend into a dark age witch is believed to be the beginning of the end of the world. It will be a time of violence, disease and moral decay. Than the Hindu god (Vishnu) will come to the earth in form of a figure called kalki. He will destroy the evil on earth. The part that mentions the Hindu god Vishnu is where this religion differs from the other but the basic principles of the prophecies is the same. Hindu’s believe we have descended into the dark ages and so do many other religions ,one example being Christianity. Christians also have believed that moral decay will be a sigh of the end. “ Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (Mathew 24:12) it seems the world is more materialistic than ever with more focus on wealth and property and not on things that should and use to matter before what many people call the “ dark ages” or the end of the world began. “There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents ,ungrateful, unholy ,without love ,unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal ,not lovers of the good, trcherous, rash ,conceited ,lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of god- having a form of godliness but denying its power”(2 Page.5
Timothy 3:1-5, Appendix page 2 of 25). It seems all the things mentioned are lacking from society or sadly are a part of it today. We value different things now and it seems that society is slowing beginning to lose its morals and cultures around the world are slowly fading. If humans have no culture and no morals or values what is stopping us from connecting today’s society to the society mentioned in prophecies.
The Mayan’s were one of the most advanced civilization’s to have existed. Their findings have been essential to our society today and have contributed greatly to how we function. When the Mayan’s calendar came to an end in the year 2012 many people automatically assumed that the Mayan’s believed that the world would come to an end in that very year but they were very wrong. Benedicts states “The Mayan’s believe we are nearing the age of the fifth sun. Many believe that this may mark the end of the world as we know it or the beginning of the end. The Mayan elders believed the destruction would start within a 100 years of this date.” This statement by Gerald benedict tells us how many people who though the world would end in 2012 because of the Mayan calendar were wrong. The end date is to come in the time period of 100 years of the date not on the date. 2012 is merely the date the Mayan’s predicted there would be change in the world not the end of the world. Carlos Barrios a Mayan priest and elder was angered by the false statement’s many made about the Mayan sayings, He says “Other people write prophecy’s in the name of the Maya. They say that the world will end on December 2012. ... The world will not end. It will be transformed….” . The world is changing faster than ever with the new technological advancements, changing climates and from the looks of society today and the predictions of the Mayan’s much more change is to come. The worlds not going to end now but like the Mayan’s said 2012 is the year, give or take a 100 years that the world will go through

Page.6 dermatic changes. Even according to the Mayan’s the beginning of the end is inferred and may be starting as of 2012.
Weather the world will end not, one thing is certain the end has begun because if you look around our earth is dying, The air is being polluted by fossil fuels ,the water by the chemicals we throw in it or the waste we carelessly send out into the ocean the plant life is a fraction of what it was before and putting all these factors together we can infer that the earth can’t go on like this any longer . The earth is dying and we are directly linked to the earth. All or our resources to survive come from the earth the food we eat the water we drink, and the air we breathe to keep our selves alive. If things don’t change for the better the world may not end but the human race will. The bible foresaw the effect that our actions would lead to in the end and this is what has been written “something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea .. a third of the living creatures in the sea died .. a great start , blazing like a torch, fell from the sky .. a third of the water turned bitter and many people died .. The sun was struck … the moon … the stars …. A third of the day was without light and also a third of the night” Revolution 8:8 -12) (Appendix page 12 out of 25) This revelation from the book of revelations touches on the condition of the earth when Armageddon will begin or when it will be near. Science is proving that the earth is not a good condition and so this is a big reason why In recent years more and more of the scientific community has come to agree that we seem to be approaching the end of the world. We are destroying the planet. “Nobel laureates and other reputable scientists have warned that the earth’s time clock is running out. Air pollution, the evaporation of the protective ozone layer, the eliminate or oxygen-producing rain forests and the general instability of the earth’s crust have all been cited as serious problems that could hinder the future of life on this planet” (Hindson page 39). Pollution is one of the biggest global killers, affecting over 100 million people. The negatives effects have been
Page.7
Increasing over the years. Everyday human harms the environment For instance mines and factories sometimes dump dangerous chemicals into water ways. Farmers use chemical fertilizers to help their plants grow and chemical presides to kill insects. And these chemicals run off into the waters underground and into the rivers nearby. Other water pollutants come in the form of oil spills, when petroleum leaks into the water. (page 59) All these are factors contributing to the earth’s slow but steady destruction. The bombs dropped in japan by the U.S still till this day affects their environment. If war was to break out again and weapons of such destruction were used again with the fragile state of the earth …. The effects could be devastating. Scientists think that by the end of the twentieth century sea levels have risen another 7 to 23 inches. As a result of the sea level rising, up to one billion people might lose their homes to flooding and If all the polar ice caps melt ,sea levels could rise about 30 feet.( Miller, page 64) Sea water would than start to over flow into fresh water sources where people get drinking water from which would make the water undrinkable. (page 64) “Does global warming signal the end of the world? Will it bring about the end of human society? Probably not. But global warming will certainly change human life as we know it.”(Miller, page 68) Global warming is the overall average temperature of the earth increasing. As ,miller stated global warming may not be the reason for the world to end but if you put all the environmental factors together that have causing negative changes on the earth we see how the end of the earth or human end is close for the earth as we know it.
The end of the world is fate the earth and humans will one day have to face. With the wars climate and other factors contributing to the Couse its truly unavoidable but will it happen now? No nut has the end of the world slowly crept up on us and began. Yes it has. The Christiane prophecies have warned of the signs before the entail end and we are seeing it now , the Mayan’s told of different times around the year 2012 and we are seeing that as well and lastly our earth and human conditions are all pointing in the directing of the slow ,steady but sure end of the world.

Several religions have their own beliefs and ideas of how the end of the world will take place. Some may have ideas of fire, abduction, disappearance, or sudden non-existence. Other religions may have the idea of a second coming of Christ, or a new beginning and a new start for the human race all together. However, in some religions, the ideas of how the end of time unravels may be distinct from each other. Some creatures or figures may come to the world and begin destruction. For Protestants, or believers of Christ, they believe in one myth about the end of the world, which is the beast.…

Many people believe that we are currently in the end times prophesized in the Bible. Although it would be fairly simple to attach biblical significance to events occurring in our current times, it is important to note, a great multitude of people, throughout the centuries, have searched within their own times for signs of the coming apocalypse. All who claimed to have found the smoking gun that proved we were in the end times have been wrong. We know this because the world still exists, and we’re still here in it.…

The actual circumstances of what will happen vary because different people focus on different events, but the general timelines tends to be similar. There is the year of church age, followed by the tribulation, which is then followed by a millennial reign of Christ, which is then followed by Satan being loosed for a short while, and finally comes the great white throne judgment. Some believe the judgments are predominantly natural events which will occur by the just hand of God, yet others believe it will be it will be a mixture of nature and humanity itself which leads to destruction, but not complete destruction, for man will…
