Health – it’s the one thing we need to do, to be able to do the things we love. And we must also stay healthy to be able to work so we can do the things we enjoy and also provide for those we love.
Good Health is our physical and mental being feeling awesome – no aches, pains, weird sensations, funky smells, mood swings (the list goes on). Majority of the people in the world are not in a good state of health.
We need to be conscious of what we put into our bodies. In the world we live in today, there are so many allergens. Gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts – it’s a crazy world, that has evolved over time. Not only that, but the stress we put our bodies through is another big concern.
A couple of weeks ago I had lunch with Mr B at a vietnamese joint. I had the Banh Cang Cua – a crab noodle soup bowl. It was delicious! However, when I drove from Malaga to Murdoch (so going from North to South of Perth – about 30 minute drive), I started feeling very sleepy. I haven’t had this feeling for so long! And this is the feeling when most people ingest processed and refined carbohydrates. Our bodies weren’t designed to eat this way… which is one of the very reasons I cut out these foods in 2010.
The above feeling is not how we are meant to feel. Feeling sleepy after eating certain foods is not normal!
Feeling bloated after eating is also not normal. A lot of people today pass these feelings off as being normal or part of the ageing process or it’s just the way it is. It isn’t. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Another story, this time to do with stress. This poor sod was under the pump from work (perks of running your own business!) – working 7 days a week, 12 to 14 hour days. No time to even wipe their butt or scratch themselves! Hah! But true Because of all this pressure, this body began to shut down and shout out – slow down!
