He will always be a father to me
This man will always be a father to me because he came into my life and took up all the responsibility of another man. His name is Micheal Parker from Port Arthur, Texas and I give him all the praises because he was always there. There was not one moment that I didn’t call and he came running to my rescue. It all started when my brother when my mother was transferred from Styles Correctional Facility to the county jail of Beaumont, Texas. When she met him he was an officer also. Since my mother was such a private person when it came to men, I didn’t meet him until six months of them dating. I really wish that I would have met him a long time ago. He was just such a supportive person; we talked for hours the day that I met him.
A year went by and our relationship gets so close that people started saying we looked alike and that was kind of funny to me because people that knew my real father said we looked liked twins. Mr. Micheal finally moved in with us, and I even started calling him “daddy.” We knew that made him feel good inside because he wished he could’ve had a girl and a boy, but he came up short when the doctor said he couldn’t have children, but God blessed him with one son. That I also accepted in my life because I had always wanted a big brother to protect me and to play fight with, and that’s all we did until one day it got out of hand. It all started because I didn’t like his girlfriend, and she kept being so disrespectful because they were on the verge of breaking up. She was mad because he wasn’t really paying attention to her, and she was pissing me off too, so I threw the phone at him. Next thing you know, he stands up and pushes me so hard that I fell into the couch. This is no play fight anymore; this was a real fight with me weighing only 172 pounds and him weighing 289 pounds.
