Hispanic American Diversity

Mexican Americans

Linguistic- Mexicans usually speak Spanish. They usually can speak very good English based on studies. A lot of Mexican Americans have a hard time with English due to our silent vocabulary.

Political- Mexican Americans have a association for their fellow man in America wishing to pursue a political career. It’s called “Mexican American Political Association”
This group helps their fellow man be elected representative of their community to state and to their local government.
This association just wants to us to be known that Mexican Americans can do just a good job as their fellow White Americans.

Social- The Mexican Americans are all over the United States. Most Mexican Americans usually learn English before they migrate to the states. So they can communicate very well.

Economic- Mexicans usually move to areas where there is a lot of Spanish speaking people like Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California. American Mexicans have a rate in America placing them 40% the poverty level as compared to a white American.

Religious- There are different types of religions with Mexicans as in any other country. Most Mexicans are among the roman catholic religion as others practice witch craft and other health practices.

Familial- Mexicans have brought a lot of characteristics to the United States Such as; music and their delicious spicy food along with their Holidays!!

Puerto Ricans

Linguistic-   Puerto Ricans speak Spanish. Some things in their language are different from other Spanish speaking places. For the most part they are the same.

Political- In 1913 to Puerto Ricans had their own news pare published in New York. Also the state of New York elected Oscar Garcia Rivera to an Assembly seat. So they as well serve a purpose in our American government.

Social- A lot of Puerto Ricans migrate to new York city looking for work. Mainly the North eastern united... [continues]
