Happiness is not money
Nowadays it is hard to have a good life with no money. Most people relate money with happiness because it allows people to own everything they want, but it is not that way. Money does not mean happiness; it is actually a means to achieve happiness. However, happiness’ definition is a bit blurred. It depends on the people who have already enjoyed the essence of happiness. That is the reason why money and happiness get confused. A person with values will know that money does not buy happiness. In fact, this person will recognize the difference between money and happiness. Money can help to impress people, to become famous, to spend a huge quantity on luxury, but this is all meaningless if you do not have someone to share it with. “Everyone wants to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” said Oprah Winfrey. As long as you have a big bank account, you’ll meet a lot people who will “make you happy”, but who only are interested in your belongings. Your values will guide you to the right people and leave you in the right way to happiness. Living a life that’s in line with your own values and belief is important for happiness. Therefore, happiness involves your most beloved ones. To enjoy harmonious relationships is one of the most important indicators of happiness. Being at peace with yourself and your surroundings is a sure way to find happiness, whether you are interacting with your family, partner or co-workers. Besides, your work may bring you happiness, when it satisfies you. This means, that if you find satisfaction in the things you do, then you’re well on your way to living a happy life. Over and above, having a sense of humor can help you keep things in perspective, so that you will not take life too seriously.
