The Han Dynasty lasted over 400 years from 206 B.C.E. to 220 C.E. China enjoyed a true Golden Age under the Han. Throughout its years, Han has made achievements in warfare, government, agriculture, industry, art, medicine, and science. These achievements have soon led something positive that changed the lives of many for the better. The Golden Age provided China long stability and wealth. Under the Han Empire, China expanded its union vastly.

Many achievements have been made that led to the Han Dynasty to be known as the Golden Age. Three of the many achievements made are, utilizing Confucius' ideas, creation and trade through the Silk Road, and improvements to the government. Exploiting Confucius' ideas balanced out the rich and the poor. The creation of the Silk Road simplified and advanced many lives. It was the agriculture basis of economy. Expansion of the Chinese empire lead to enhancement in government. All of these achievements have became an important contribution to the flourishing epoch.

The Silk Road served as an important communication link between cultures and economies. During the time of the Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE), this five-thousand-mile stretch of trade routes was possibly the world’s first “Internet.” According to document one, Han's expansion of trade has increased immensely from the Silk Road. Xian, the capital city of the Tang Dynasty is regarded as the starting point of the Silk Road. The Silk Road stretched to today's Turkey.  It is the road connection and trade passageway between China and Middle and West Asia and even Europe. Because of how convenient and easy this made for communication between different regions, it soon led to a growth in population.  The Silk Road linked China to the Fertile Crescent in southwestern Asia.
