Marijuana Trends
          The marijuana (cannabis) or hemp plant is considered to be one of the oldest, and most abused, psychoactive plants known to human kind. Marijuana has become one of the most widespread and diversified of plants. It grows as weed in numerous different climates and regions. For hundreds and thousands of years, the active ingredients in marijuana have been used for antidotal, medicinal, and purifying abilities. It has been used throughout history by many cultures for the soul purpose of acquiring a sense of being “high.” After alcohol, marijuana considered one of the most popular recreational drugs.
        Known as the cannabis plant, or weed, it goes back as far as seven thousand B.C. Marijuana capabilities, to date, includes loss of hunger, queasiness, pain, and anxiety. The first recorded use of this drug for medicinal purpose is said to be in China in the year 2727 B.C. In fact, for a majority of history, the cannabis plant was considered to be perfectly legal.   The marijuana plant has been deemed illegal for less than one percent of the time that it has been used and was legal as recent as when Ronald Regan was just a child.
        Many people still assume that weed was made illegal through some complex processes of government hearings, scientific, and medical testing’s and was made to protect the citizens from a “dangerous drug.” In reality the people
who voted on the legal fat of this known healing plant never had the facts straight. In the beginning when the Government voted to prohibit Cannabis plants, it was based on document lies on the Senate floor.
        Throughout the history of humankind, the marijuana trends include, but are not limited too, racism, fear, and yellow journalism.   A Texas Senator once said, on the Senate floor, “All Mexicans are crazy, and this stuff [Marijuana} is what makes them crazy.” Once again, racism reared its head and showed its shameful...
