Greece And Rome Question
The whole world and especially the western society is based and influenced by the Greek and Rome culture. The powerful societies had impacted the later societies in every aspect of what makes a civilization, such as art, politics, architecture, writing, language, and even religion. To fully understand the western culture, a researcher must look back at the roman and the Greek culture to help appreciate the world we live in today.
One of the popular landmarks of the Roman culture, which represent an art and architecture simple, and it, is considered one of the greatest works of roman engineering at that time is the colosseum, which also represented the pride of the Roman architecture. Between the deadly gladiators battles, and animals fighting, and theater plays, the colosseum hosted various part of the roman culture.
The oval arena shape of the colosseum is surrounded by steeply rising row seats, which hosted between 50,000 to 87,000 people. The way the world today was effected by the colosseum could easily been seen in the sports arenas, and theaters build all over the world, many of today architect and engineers always try to set high standers when building such projects to compare to the roman colosseum. Also the inspiration of the gladiator’s battles had effect on the invention of the Olympics games the world host today, and the many form of theater plays that took place in that era, will anyone could just go and visit Broadway Street in New York City.
