Google Business
The history of Google
Google was established in 1998 by Stanford University Graduates, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. When Page and Brin first created the search engine they named it, Back Rub.

Back Rub was developed to observe different links on web pages to find out the site’s specialist. The founder of Yahoo!, David Filo, heard of this new network and decided to support Larry and Sergey’s new search engine. Page and Brin took this to their advantage and began a company and look for new investors to also support them. Fortunately for them, a business man, Andy Bechtolsheim, invested $100 000 in the company from one of their advertisement demo’s. They eventually rose over $1M.
It all started in a small garage and now it is worldwide. Google’s director of technology, Craig Silverstein was Page and Brin’s first employee.
Google was the answer to 10 000 questions a day and promptly earned a reputation as effective, relevant, fast and reliable.
Ever since 1998, Google is continuing to grow rapidly with Google image, video, docs, Google +, chrome, map, translate, Gmail and many others. It is the #1 Search Engine worldwide and is becoming a strong competitor for many of the other search engines. It is said that, “Google is the one to watch.” 1995 * Larry Page and Sergey Brin meet at Stanford. In the first meeting, they disagreed upon many subjects. 1996 * “BackRub” is developed. 1997 * Larry and Sergey discover the new name, “Google.” 1998 * Andy Bechtolsheim invested $100 000 in the company. * Google starts working in Susan Wojcicki’s garage. * Larry and Sergey hire Craig Silverstein as their first employee. * Google starts getting recognized.
1999
* They then move their workstation to 165 University Avenue with only eight employees. * Omid Kordestani joins the business. * We move to our first Mountain. Mountain View is a few miles south of Stanford University, and north of the

Links: appear at the top of the page. Each time you click on the link, Google will charge a certain amount of money to the website just for one click. Google also has many advertisements on various websites and the same routine occurs here. Once you click the link, Google will charge money to the website you clicked on. This process is called AdSense which is one of the main sources of Google making their money. Google is an extremely intelligent business as every time a person clicks on a link to a website, Google charges different payments for different links. When a person advertises with Google, they must use key words that are related to their business and/ or website. The price someone will pay as a business person will all depend if other companies are “bidding” for that keyword. The more company’s means the more someone will pay for a click on their website. These prices can change from $0.01 to $100 and more. Some companies that have very common names can be very expensive to advertise with Google. The interesting thing about Google is they sell something that truly does not exist. Google makes their money from sending traffic to other websites. In order for business men to advertise with Google, they need to see growth. Google does this by driving more people to provide more and more advertisement. This is exactly why Google is expecting to see it flourish even more in the next couple of years. Where is Google used in business? Google is used everywhere! In today’s age, technology is expanding its networks. This allows it to be used anywhere. People are now able to use networks through their mobile devices, at home, at school and at work. Business people use it in their offices to access websites and other applications.

Google’s greatest creation is its Internet search engine. In 2008 it is estimated that Google earned more than $4 billion in profits and more than 95% of that profit was tied to its advertising coming from its search engine.
