Qualities of Good Parent
A good parent to me means that they have a sense of balance. They need to be able to teach and discipline as well as loving and caring for their children. A good parent should care and love for their child, teach by setting examples, and correct discipline skills.
A parent should always love their child unconditionally so the child has someone caring for them. For example my parents show their love to me by always supporting me and caring about me. Every child needs someone to be there for them to help create a stable life for the child. All in all, love is a key factor in a child’s life no matter what. If your parents don’t support you it could affect you in many negative ways. Parents need to unconditionally love and support their children no matter what.
Parents also need to set good examples. Many moms and dads are the role models of their children; they want to be just like their parents when they grow up. If the parent is a bad example setter then that child will follow everything they do leading the child into a life of failure. Additionally, the parent must also know the right thing to do so the child follows the right things. I feel this is something parents forget to do a lot.
Every child needs to be disciplined correctly to learn right from wrong. If a child does something wrong then they must realize it was wrong and learn not to do it again. Discipline also teaches you to be ready for challenges that they will face during life. Some parents do not know how to discipline the correct way leading into more conflict for the child. To discipline and learn lessons, parents need to know how to punish in the correct way. Discipline is good when done correctly by parents and or guardians.
