4 (3 hrs lecture + 1.5 hrs tutorial x 14 weeks)
This course is designed for students with a working knowledge of the English Language. Its purpose is to equip students with the necessary skills to think, write, read, listen and speak critically as well as meaningfully for academic purposes.
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. write a discursive and argumentative essay.
2. edit for various sentence-skill errors.
3. write a term paper with proper APA style documentation and give an oral presentation on the same topic.
4. comprehend academic readings.
