Global Warming
Global warming is a major event that is occurring now in these days. Scientists are very concern about global warming. Which is causing the melting of the polar ice caps in the poles of the planet Earth to the weather and the threat to the ecosystem. The National Geographic, the NRDC, EPA, Panda Org. agrees and reports that global warming can be a big topic for the world. Their focuses on global warming are on the weather, energy, waste, and the effects on humanity and nature. Global warming has been an issue for the last decade it has affected the environment, people, and the world and if not ended now the results could be catastrophic.
The weather change has impacted the whole world from droughts to floods and natural disasters. Especially the climate in the Artic, Alaska, Western Canada and Eastern Russia the temperature has risen about twice as global averages. At this rate the wild life would decrease dramatically at these places. In fact “Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice-free summer by 2040 or earlier. Polar bears and indigenous cultures are already suffering from the sea-ice loss”. If humanity doesn’t try to start fixing and using less fossil fuel to make the world better place the results could be disastrous, sea level will be rising and it is equal to less land.
Fossil fuels are known as coal, petroleum and natural gas, also this type of energy source was created underneath the Earth. Coal is the worst energy source because it releases more carbon dioxide (Co2) in the atmosphere than any fossil fuel in actual fact “Making matters worse, coal mining produces methane, a greenhouse gas with a global warming potential 25 times greater than that of CO2 on a 100-year timeline.”(CITE HERE with frog) This type power source should be used less. Petroleum the transportation tragedy it emits about three-fourths as much Co2 rather than burning coal. Natural gas is not clean like

Fossil fuels are energy sources such as petroleum, natural gas, and coal which contain the stored radiant energy of organisms that lived millions of years ago (Tillery, Enger, & Ross, 2009, p. 67). Fossil fuels are an attractive source of energy because they are accessible and cheap.…

Because of the climate change, the earth is in danger. People don’t realize that the things they use or do every day are hurting the earth and living things. Nature.org says, “…one-fourth of Earth’s species will be headed for extinction by 2050 if the warming trend continues at its current rate…” Because the temperature is increasing, ice is melting. Because ice is melting, sea levels are rising. Higher temperatures don’t only melt ice but evaporates the moisture in the air. Evaporation will take away all of the land’s water leaving it as dry as a desert. With a drought now in progress, it will make it harder to find water and support agriculture.…

Global warming is currently the most controversial issue. The debate over global warming has been going all around the world and it seems endless. Depending on one's political view, whether a person is a liberal or a conservative may consider global warming as the biggest challenge facing humanity or one may dismiss, saying it is not real or may simply claims global warming is a hoax. However, there are strong, credible evidences that indicate the extreme and unpredictable weather pattern we have been witnessing like extreme heat, drought, storm , retreating glaciers and the melting of the arctic sea ice, and rising sea level due to climate change caused by human activities. Governments and people around the world should hold hand in hand…

Global Warming is an important issue for us to address because it’s hurting our environment. Deforestation leads to the extinction of animals like Orangutans. Pollution leads to a whole in the o-zone layer which then leads to more sun rays coming into earth and warming up the planet. This causes melting ice-caps and rising sea levels which might flood land at some point. There are too many people living on this planet for too many people not to be helping each other take care of our planet. Simple things such as purchasing…

Climate change is an incredibly serious issue with so many hazards and risks. If we let it go any further than it already has, it will ultimately lower the quality of life on earth, as well as cause several more problems, as if we already don’t have enough. Yes, it will be much warmer, and eventually we will have fantastic weather a majority of the time, however the amount of disadvantages far outweigh the good. An abundance of animals will slowly begin to go extinct, and as the title entails, devastating climate issues will arise, like more droughts in southern regions, much more precipitation in higher regions, as well as other occurrences like forest fires and hurricanes. It’s easy to disregard these matters, since all of this seems like a slow process and it hardly affects us now. Yet, as the technology industry continues to develop, and the need for polluting factories increases, we’ll be getting closer and closer to destroying the easy way of life on this planet. Perhaps in our lifetime, we won’t be able to witness the extreme effects of climate change, although if we keep doing what we’re doing, our future generations will not be in for an easy ride.…

Global warming is a phenomenon whereby the earth's average temperature increases. Global warming has a devastating effect on the Earth's climate. Scientists are still studying global warming effects, and have not reached a consensus about what will happen in the future. The melting of the polar ice caps and global warming are getting more and more attention lately. If melting glaciers caused by global warming, or it is a natural process - at this moment opinion of scientists and experts is diverge. There are many causes of the melting of the polar ice caps and global warming, some of which are natural. However, the activities of man are responsible for much of the rapid change that scientists are seeing.…

Global warming’s a severe concern that is plaguing our environments and communities. Global warming occurred when the rise in the average temperature of both the Earths atmosphere along with the oceans. Since early 20th century the Earths temperature has continued to raise giving merit to the beliefs that global warming warrens concern. Jiansong (2011) believed tropical storms became worse over the years and global warming has become such an issue become such an issue it needs to be combated. Miller (2012) preformed experiments to measure the change in the earth’s tempters over the years. Venkataramanan (2011) believed that global warming…

The changes in the temperature and weather patterns have already begun to cause changes in land that was once able to produce or grow food. More and more areas are experiencing drought, which has caused a lack of food in areas, which are in great need of water. Global warming has also had the opposite effect in some areas creating catastrophic flooding and other weather phenomenon that has impacted the environment in a disastrous way.…

In addition to these issues which have a varied gravity, global warming is known as the most serious issue and I believe every citizen of the world should know about what it is and what is causing it, because it affects the future of mankind. Not very many people know that once global warming is in full effect, it is impossible to reverse it. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists, “the climate change that is taking place because of increases in carbon dioxide concentration is largely irreversible for 1,000 years after emissions stop” (Romm). Essentially, even if we were to completely cease our carbon emissions and completely reduce our overall “carbon footprint” today, we would not see the effects of the reduction for years. The same concept applies to being able to see the damaging effects of climate change on our environment. Once we are able to physically witness the changes, reversal is virtually impossible. This is why many people don’t believe global warming to be as urgent and serious of an issue as it really is. Since it is not happening quickly before our eyes, people may brush it off as just some ice caps melting, which doesn’t seemingly affect their lives directly as other issues being covered in the…

Energy is an important part of our everyday lives. Energy can come in many different types, and forms it can be used for many different purposes. Energy has many different usages and can be converted from one form of usage to another form of usage depending on what the need is. One form of energy conversion is the use of food to supply people 's bodies with energy. Another form of energy is how coal is converted into electricity. Fuel is another form of energy that can be used for many different usages as well. Fuel is used for much different reason such as allowing our cars to function and our lawnmowers to cut grass. There are many different reasons why people use energy in the many different ways that we use it. Even though people rely on energy usage, some of the forms of energy we use are very harmful to the environment and even dangerous to ourselves. The harmful and dangerous fuels that we use can be changed to alternative methods of energy usage. There are two different types of alternative energy, which is known as renewable energy. Renewable energy is very resourceful and is able to be used because it is all around us there will not be a shortage of material and it is safer on every living thing and being. Energy and fuel usage just like everything else in the world has its advantages and disadvantages about using it. We must collectivity figure out which source of energy is right for everyone but for now we will find out which is best to use in your area.…

For the past decade global warming has been a very big issue among the Congress, Senators and President. Global warming tends to have a dramatic impression on the weather. What this means is places that normally do not see snow in the winter are now having white Christmases. To have a better understanding first you must understand the definition of global warming. Global warming is an increase in the earth’s surface temperature caused by natural or even humanly ways that are destroying the plant as well. The greenhouse effect is understood by the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere that are leading to a big increase of thermal radiation near our surface. The greenhouse effect too many scientists all have been in agreeance that the rising temperature from global warming. Another effect from the global warming is the Arctic ice cap. The polar ice cap has melted more than 30,000 square miles since the last reading which was in 2007. The region is currently being affected by the constant changing temperatures which accompany the polar cap melting. There are many…
