ALL THINGS ARE NOW READY
Luke 14:16-24

Although this parable originally applied to Israel and her rejection of the gospel, we can also learn some important principles as we prepare for our forthcoming Retreat. In this parable, Jesus Christ gives us a picture of (i) the supernatural supply of all things which God has provided for all His people. He said, “All things are now ready” (verse 17) (ii) how all servants of God are commanded to invite people to partake of the blessings of the kingdom (verses 17,21,23), and (iii) how God wants all men to come and enjoy the blessings and provisions of His kingdom.

1. PROVISION OF SUFFICIENT SUPPLIES BY GOD
      Luke 14:16,17; Ephesians 1:3; Romans 8:32; 2 Peter 1:3,4; 2 Corinthians 9:8; 1 Corinthians 2:9,10; Psalm 84:11; Matthew 6:32,33; 7:7-11; 21:22.

      The parable of the great feast can be likened to our forthcoming Retreat. By every standard, the programme is going to be great. It will be a great gathering in the presence of the all-powerful God Who has made great provision for every participant in the programme.

      The chief Pharisee that invited Jesus Christ and other people to a feast in his house no doubt must have provided good food and other delicacies for his guests (Luke 14:1,7,15). But, the presence of Jesus at the occasion made a great difference. The participants got more than they ever expected. There was a demonstration of God’s mighty power. A man sick of dropsy was healed and the people were taught the word of God (Luke 14:1-14). The situation will be the same and even greater at the forthcoming Retreat. Without any doubt, every participant at the retreat will receive greater blessings than they ever expected. “All things are now ready”. All kinds of blessings - spiritual, physical - are ready.
