GMO foods are genetically modified organisms with genetic structures to make them resistant to some pesticides, diseases or insects. The genetically is to improve the quality and taste of the organism and to increase the maturation and yield. For some reason everyone isn’t convinced that GMO Foods are safe claiming they may be harmful to the environment and to the health of people who eat them. I think it is important to know what food has been genetically modified so you can acquaint decision. While there are some benefits that genetically modified foods may offer, and also some negative effects that these foods can cause as well.

There are several of benefits that have been linked to genetically modified foods Pros of GMO foods make them more resistant to insect pests.GMO foods are more nutritious in mineral and vitamins. As well this can improve the general beauty and health of the environment and contribute better air and water quality. Some of the genetically modified foods such as fruits and veggies have a longer shelf life than other products.

There are also some risks that have been associated with the GMO Foods Cons of GMO Foods it causes you to have allergic reaction to certain foods you may eat. Although some genetically foods may contain higher levels of allergens and toxins, which can have negative effects on the personal health of people who eat GMO Foods. Some have antibiotic features in them to make your immune system resistant to certain diseases or viruses. GMO Foods could cause damage to other organisms in the ecosystem where they are grown.

There are also multiple of GMO FOODS like tomatoes, potatoes, papaya, zucchini, squash and canola oil also some other GMO crops. When shopping for vegetables, purchase organically grown fruits and vegetables. Also some of the organic foods cost a little bit more than there other foods.
