Globalization is the collaboration of people, countries, economies and societies. And within each society, lies a different culture with different cultural aspects. These cultural aspects of American culture have been strongly shaped by the cultures of other parts of the worlds. Now, American culture has begun to influence other cultures, endangering other cultures to the point where cultures begin to fade or merge into the cultural melting pot of the United States.
In the United States, Immigration has shaped a unique cultural melting pot consisting of several different cultures. Thus, American culture has been created as a complex society that includes elements of all different cultures around the world. The American culture impacts the global framework by creating a community forged from the diverse population. (Cismas). Because of the rapid European conquest of foreign territories, their cultural patterns are predominated in America. The Europeans have mainly contributed to America’s language, arts, and political institutions. For example, many writers and painters from Europe have influenced literature and art within the US. However, cultural influences are not limited to Europe. Similarly, in other countries such as Asia, Africa, and North America have contributed to American culture by influencing factors of daily life (Cismas). For example, some music in American culture had African roots, like blues and jazz. Films and media have also been influenced by different cultures. A few famous movies such as “The Grudge” and “The Ring” are pretty much remakes of the Japanese films “Ju-On: The Grudge” and “Ringu”. American culture is influenced by many cultures and also shares cultural universals with several cultures as well.
