An Inconvenient Truth
“The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences” (Al Gore 2005). Global warming has grown to become a challenging issue involving the gradual increase of the global temperature where the Earth experiences warmer conditions. These conditions have created a sickening hole in our economic status and biological diversity through the cause of our own human actions where excessive gaseous emissions and advanced industrialization contribute the greatest. For the past fifty years, apparent trends in the increase of temperature on Earth known as global warming have sparked an issue, that has caused worldly refutes contributing to the downfall of our own biological land markings and species.
It has grown to become an evident fact that human beings are the prime culprits towards the warming of Earth. Firstly, the harsh burning of fossil fuels and oil has caused a substantial amount of greenhouse gases to accumulate within our atmosphere. The atmosphere is there to enable the life form on Earth, however, with the increase of the heat caused through human pollution eventually has it trapped in the atmosphere causing it to thicken with gases such as carbon dioxide which is known to be detrimental to humans. Even a hundred years ago, a Swedish scientist named Svante Arrhenius theorized that the concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) are linked with the climate change our Earth experiences. And these concentrations are heavily linked to the human actions of creating pollution through either vehicles, factories, or even burning more than the desired amount of fuels further proving that human activities have caused an increase of global temperature. Moreover, deforestation has created a loophole where a humans destruction of natural agriculture, trees and...
