Global Multi products
Global Multi-Products Chile

In my personal opinion it is an EVALUATION CASE.

Using Mckinsey 7S model I came to the below conclusions,

Multi products is having a very innovative strategy which influences its systems to work effectively & efficiently. It is also well structured with skill-full workforce.
Problem faced are mainly in concern of shared values of the staff, lack of trust, conflict of interest, lack of long-term vision & the finances involved in new changes brought forth.
The political & economical conditions of Chile also influence to some extent on the vision & decision making of the company.

Recommendations,

As bob says, the company is doing fine, growing globally at good percentage & innovating at a good pace. Chile getting more stabilized with open markets & trade agreements can be said as a high potential target.
I think I would concentrate more on adding higher value to the staff, more team building, improving their relationship, bringing a sense of togetherness, making a common vision & goal to be achieved by the sales team.

My strategies would be different because as a new manager I would gather my team as a whole, initially, and in an open environment invite them to make suggestions or comments on how the department has been run? What if any changes they would like to see take place? And if they have any ideas that may bolster team spirit at this time also give each salesman in your team a package containing up to date product information and information on where the company vision is going. Included in this package should be a form which they can fill in with any private comments or concerns, make sure the form does not require a signature to encourage that anonymous safety feature. Once you have duly noted any verbal input in your meeting, set up a time and date you can sit down with each of your team members to discuss privately any ideas, comments or concerns they have. I would also take several months to look at all of the information I have gather and to monitor what effect if any making changes suggested by your sales team has made on both Bob and Mary. In month two initiate an impromptus revue of all staff in your team, and sit down with everyone…

There are many problem areas or weaknesses within the company that need to be addressed in order to move the business forward. The high standards have dropped; there seems to be no consistency across the company since the new cafe managers have been given more autonomy. This has then lead to disagreements between the newer and older staff. Staff have no incentive to stay with the company which has lead to a high staff turnover, which again causes problems for the older staff as they constantly have to train up new staff.…

There are four main issues that have resulted in major company problems. The first is the resiliency of the company culture. Problems such as low productivity cannot be properly addressed unless the culture is capable of changing to promote the necessary changes. The second major cause is the inability to monitor and measure performance. Thirdly, the company has not properly determined who needs what training. In addition, the mechanics’ past injuries have contributed to absenteeism. Finally, the old fleet of buses is unreliable and has left passengers stranded or caused them to be late.…
