Abstract
The objective of this paper is to briefly explore the options of accepting the early retiring package or deciding to continue to work for another 5 years and assist with the restructing plan to reduce costs. There are some questions for the early retirement package as well as some questions around organization restructuring strategy. Throughout this paper, the discussion focuses on a perceived discussion that needs to take place between myself and Executive Vice President of operations. Before I can accept the early retirement program there some questions regarding the package. In addition, there will need to be an appropriate amount of time given to make a decision. There are meetings with my financial advisor and attorney that need to take place before I can adequately make a decision. This paper will discuss the positive and negative effects that an organizational restructuring can have on a company. There are many ethical decisions to take into consideration. Most importantly, the affected employees will need to have some assistance in finding new jobs as well as have counseling available as needed. Moreover this paper will grive a summary of some things to evaluate such as legislative policies and procedures. Being a government contractor there are many law and regulations for how you to charge labor to a specific project that has been approved by the government.

Some other things to take into consideration with the early retirement package is the estimated income as well as the responsibilites that will be required as Blackbelt Leader

Early Retirement Package
It is understandable that in today’s economy companies are looking to reduce costs by downsizing the workforce either through early retirement programs or layoffs. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the early retirement package that is being offered to me. I have frequently thought about what I would do during my retirement. I would like to spend some much needed quality time with family. After receiving the package on an early retirement offer I had some time during my flight from Brussels to Dallas to give some thought to this early retirement package. In addition, I was able to do some research on early retirement programs this morning while waiting on my flight at the Dallas airport. My research included some internet sites discussion early retirement advantages and disadvantages as well as a call to my personal attorney for advice.

Before I can make a decision on this early retirement program there are some questions that I would like to discuss with the Executive Vice President to get further clarification on the program. These questions will help me evaluate my options and make a decision. Moreover, I would like to take the answers to my questions to my personal attorney and financial advisor for review. This is a life changing decision and I would expect there to be some time allotted to fully evaluate the offer before making a final decision.

The initial questions are regarding the pension plan and the offer to bridge the Officer pension and employee pension. Due to the fact that I will only be 50 years of age at the time of retirement, what are the specifics of the pension benefits?
