Effects of Quality Management on Global and Domestic Competition To help companies operate more effectively and become customer orientated, companies are adopting the concept of quality management. Adopting quality management practices allows companies to ensure quality products and services (Ehow, 2010). There are a number of quality management programs like Six Sigma, Theory of Constraint, and Total Quality Management available to companies desiring to implement the concept of quality management practices (Summers, 2008). One company operates in the domestic market and the other operates in the global market.
