Germany: During WWII

Catastrophes happen all over the world. World War II was different. It didn’t just effect on country it effected the whole world, hence the name World War II. We all either remember the actual war or remember learning about it in school. Being American citizens and looking in on the war we just naturally believe Germany was at total fault for this war. Germany did start the war, but we never really look into what was happening within the country. Hitler became leader of Germany. With this he took control and responsibility for Germany’s people, it’s economy, it’s military, and it’s politics. Hitler was given the job of chancellor in 1933. He was given the job by President Paul von Hindenburg. A year after this the president died and Hitler meshed the two powers together appointing himself as the uncontested leader. He called himself Der Fuhrer. To get elected he promised his country jobs, security, and a better Germany. To many he did accomplish this, but to many more he slandered Germany’s reputation. Although he may have been a malicious and evil man, he was a very good leader. He did get the country out of economy dismay. He was very good at commanding his military groups and even better at being a politician. Hitler could have ruled the world had he not have been so hateful and malevolent towards the Jews and everyone else. Hitler had a hatred of the Jewish people. For what reason no one knows, but it was definitely misplaced hatred. This and his lust for power is what caused his downfall. Hitler simply tried to do too much at one time. If he would have slowed down and thought about things more, he would probably have taken over the whole world. But in the end thankfully he was not able to. Instead of facing what he had done at the end of the war he, and his mistress, killed themselves on April 30th, 1945.
