Binary power plants
Could this be the answer .
General frcould this amework.
In my research paper, I would like to explore the topic of geothermal power plants. Ageothermal power plant uses the heat stored within the earth to produce electricity. According to Charles F. Kutscher (2000),the heat within the earth comes from two different sources, first, the heat associated with the formation of earth and second the heat transferred to the earth through reductive decay from different objects. This energy is utilized by using the difference in the temperature of the hot water stored deep within the earth and that at the surface. This heat could be extracted through two methods, firstby pumping the geothermal water and using it within the plantor by transferring that heat from the geothermal water to another fluid. I am interested in this topic as I am a mechanical engineer, thus it is related to my field of study. Furthermore, conducting suchresearch will help in expanding my knowledge about a specific area in my major and will give me an insight about the practical aspect of that area. Moreover, due to the same reason, I believe that I am entitledtoconduct this research as accumulated background informationrelated to the research from some of my major courses. The research for alternative energy resources have been the passion of scientist for many years and now after the fossil fuel resources are drying out and their negative impact on the environment is proved, the need for new clean energy resources had increased. Because of the special nature of the geothermal energy that makes it useable almost in every country in the world, it becomes one of the best choices asa main source of energy for production of electricity. However, uponreading some articles and books, most of the articles that I found were technical; theycontain equations and measurements for the performance of some of the geothermal power plants. Thismade me wonder how could I...
