Unequal Treatments for Minorities The issue of minority groups getting treated differently has been one of the biggest issues throughout the history of mankind. Looking back from hundreds of years ago, most societies consider men to be a more capable and superior compare to women; the gender equality issue also shown in the governmental hierarchy by believing that men are more capable in governing a society than women. This gender equality issue also applies in getting education between men and women. Men are believed to be more worthy and capable at receiving education than women since women have been given the task to take care of the husband and family by tradition. Doing these household chores is not require much education, or at least that is what society believe to be true. Even though society’s point of view towards women is changing, there are still some parts of the world keep this tradition. Though women have gotten better education than before, holding strongly to tradition, some people still believe that men need to have more opportunity than women, especially in education. However, I strongly believe that women need to get the same opportunity in getting education because it is unreasonable for men to discriminate genders just because of religious belief and traditional ideas.
Traditionally, men are believed to be dominant on everything over women. However, especially in today’s society, most people know that men and women have their own strong points in many aspects of life. However, to achieve these skills, they both need to get to some extent of educations.
