Gardner's Theory

Part 1

Howard Gardner (1983) proposed a new view of intelligence that is rapidly being incorporated in school curricula. In his Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Gardner expanded the concept of intelligence to also include such areas as music, spacial relations, and interpersonal knowledge in addition to mathematical and linguistic ability. (Brualdi, 1996)[?] Part 2

Logical–mathematical (“Number/Reasoning Smart”)
It lets me use my brain to recognize easy patterns, and able to perform easy mathematical problems. I am able to create simple monthly budgets, and to do lists. Linguistic (“Word Smart”)
Lets me remember complex information that helps me understand what I have studied. Spatial–visual (“Picture Smart”) I guess you can call me a Spatial–visual thinker. I am able to understand things when there is an image of what things should look like. It is like using your right brain. Bodily–kinesthetic (“Body Smart”) Is when you use your body in order to speak? Just like a toddler does when they want something or when a deaf person signs so that someone can understand what they are saying Musical Intelligence (“Musical Smart”)

People that can process musical intelligence are considered to have a strong appreciation for music, can easily remember songs and melodies, and rhythm. Interpersonal Intelligence (“People Smarts”)

Gives you the ability to and interact effectively with others. Intra-personal intelligence (“Self Smart”) Give you the capacity to understand your thoughts and feelings, and to use such knowledge in planning and directioning one’s life.2 Part 3
