Gardner’s Seven Intelligences describes seven different areas of intelligence. Each one is different in its own way. A person may possess one or more of these intelligences. They are part of our every day lives because their used to build skills and solve problems. The seven intelligences are logical mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence musical intelligence, bodily kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and intrapersonal intelligence.
Logical mathematical intelligence is thinking scientifically or mathematically and thinking logically or using patterns to solve problems. The type of person that possesses this intelligence may be good with math or numbers. I use this one when I am adding up my monthly bills and figuring out how much I will have left and how I will spend it wisely. Spatial intelligence is when people use mental images to solve problems. Remembering information without writing it down we tend to create pictures in our head. I use this often as well for example if someone gives me directions and I have to remember them I create images in my head to help me out. This intelligence is also used when trying to figure out a puzzle or drawing a picture. Musical intelligence is used when a person has an ear for music, when someone can play a song without reading the notes, or recognizes tones such as playing or singing a song. I use this intelligence when I remember the words and rhythm to a song and sing it. Bodily kinesthetic intelligence is when the brain works with the body to produce coordinated movements. When a person think about what they are going to do in their head and their body performs it. I use this intelligence when I remember dance steps or play a sport. Interpersonal intelligence is when someone is able to understand others, and good at communicating with people because they can understand their feelings which causes them to have the ability to connect...
