Trust
Trust is something all relationships value and need. Whether it be with friends, family, boyfriends, girlfriends or any other type of relationship. You need to have trust in yourself and others around you, but you also have to make sure other people trust you also. Trust is not easy to define but it is something a lot of people know about and want. One of the most important things in trust is being able to put some confidence in another person. You should be able to tell someone a secret of some kind and being able to trust that they won’t tell anyone. This is important mostly with friends because there are things we may want to share but you don’t want to share it with just anyone. If you tell someone, someone else’s secret, then you may have lost that other persons trust. If you want people to trust you, you have to give them a reason to be able to trust you. Don’t break someone’s trust because sometimes it is hard to get it back from them. Another aspect is you want to be able to trust someone when they tell you something and they’re telling the full truth to you and not hiding anything from you. I’ve learned from past experiences that if you get lied to it is hard to trust that person again. Or maybe anyone because if they can lie to you then so can a lot of people and we really don’t want that with anyone. We want to be able to trust people. Being lied to often brings suspicions to cheating, so they snoop through their things, read their text messages, or even following them because of the suspicions they have. This leads to the last aspect: cheating. Cheating is really the worst thing that can happen to you or your partner. No one ever wants to be cheated on. It breaks every bit of trust you have for them or they have for you and it is really hard to ever get that back or ever get it back. Sometimes you just don’t want to trust the other person because when you did, they went out and cheated

“Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships” Stephen Cory once said. This quote means that by building relationships using trust, you will benefit by becoming a stronger person who can have a better understanding of life and the right thing to do. Anne Frank and Eva Benitez prove this by despite their situations, learning to trust people even though it was difficult considering all they’ve been through.…

Trust is an important thing, but it must also be understood that trust being broken is not always one’s fault. There are occasions where life takes unexpected turns that change everything. Friar Lawrence played a rather large role in the love of Romeo and Juliet. The thing that some call ‘fate’ left Romeo dead because information had not reached him. Friar was left to say, “A greater power than we can contradict Hath thwarted our intents” (Shakespeare Scene V Act 3). So there are times when promises and friendships can be broken because of events that are neither persons fault, so sometimes one must resort to mercy and understanding for broken trust. Romeo and Juliet shows this as well as it could possibly be…

Cheating damages the trust in the relationship the most. Trust is the foundation to any relationship and once that rust is broken, it is hard to rebuild that trust again. After your partner finds out about your infidelity, he or she will go through an endless cycle of emotions. One day he or she will blame you and the next day blame themselves. Cheating also damages a person's self-esteem. Your partner will start to question his or her…

Anyone can choose to cheat. One could cheat at any moment of any day throughout their entire lives. It isn't difficult, in fact, it's much easier than being honest half the time. However, those of us with the courage and integrity to work for the fruits of our labor in an honest manner, will be the ones who reach true happiness in life. When someone cheats, they not only run the risk of hurting themselves, but they also run the risk of hurting those close to them.…

Cheating is quite common and the reasons are multiple. For this critical thinking paper, the topic I choose is Infidelity. I read an article called "Psychology of Infidelity: Why men and women cheat" by John Benson. This article was broken down into a few parts.Dr. Ley stated that men and women have a different outlook on cheating. A women tends to cheat more along the lines of a romance novel where she feels a lot of intimate attention and excitement. Men on the other hand cheat to get away. They are more likely to have one night stands then a long term secret relationship. They tend to want someone younger and want to feel that kind of escape. This article also talked a lot about how personality traits can be tied into infidelity. David Schmidt, psychologist at Bradley University, told Jay Dixit of Psychology Today, there are five personality factors and each has a different likelihood to cheat. Extroversion was the first trait. Extroverts are driven by sexual desires and seek pleasure. They tend to look for situations to satisfy their needs. Emotional Stability was another trait. People who are emotionally stable are less likely to wander off and cheat on their spouse. The third one was openness. Those who are open to trying new things might be more likely to cheat. Also, people who disregard other people's feelings and opinions might also be more likely to become unfaithful. The last one was conscientiousness. Those who struggle to control impulses and whose morals might not be structured usually are cheaters. This article gives you examples of what happens once an affair is out on the open. The person that cheated is often left feeling guilty and the person cheated on feels betrayal, anger and sadness. Surviving infidelity was the last topic in the article. Most relationships that give it another try after finding out that their partner was unfaithful, don't work out. There's always that lack of trust there. The relationships that do work out usually go…

    The cost of lying

Trust is like a mirror, once it is broken, it is never seen the same again, and that is the cost. No matter how hard you try to put it back together, the cracks are always visible. No one wants to be a liar, no one wants to be a dishonest person. One might presume that a person will lie because they want something they can’t have with the truth. Recalling back to my childhood, I was unable to be like other children where they were able to have fun, running, jumping, and screaming. Every moment of my life was monitored by my mom and I was required to report everything back to her. Gradually as I grew older, I became more independent and started to make decisions on my own, which led me to my first lie and disappointed my mom.…

There are so many types of trust. Three type of trust are: trusting in a family member, trusting in someone special, and trusting in friends. With our family members, we have deep trust. They have been through everything with us and most of deep dark secrets. They have been there for us during the good times and the bad. They watched us go through elementary, middle and high school. Your family has been there to watch you mature and become the person you are today. We have deep trust with them because they took care of us when we were sick or needed someone to cry on. Since we tell them everything, we are the most attached to them. They know when we are acting strange or weird and can tell when we are sad or ecstatic. They share all kinds of memories with us and understand what and where we have been. We let family know almost everything about us. We go back to them when we have nowhere else to go. We trust them with our lives because we know no matter what, that they will…

It is a special thing to be trusted by someone. To be told you are trusted is an even greater feeling, but you should never take advantage of that trust. Taking advantage of somebody's trust in you is never a good thing and will only lead to distrust. If somebody took advantage of my trust, I would be very skeptical of them the next time they needed me to do something for them or asked something of me. Trust should be valued highly and seen as a true bond between two friends or mates. It should be thought of as the glue in the relationship.…
