Writing and Classification Essay
Right from the time we embark on our education trip, we come across different types of teachers. Some are friendly, some are strict, and some are the ones we idolize. We also dislike a few, who fail to impress us positively. Students begin to like teachers, according to their own individual preferences. They even classify their teachers into different categories, such as Friendly Teachers, Lenient Teachers, Perfectionist Teachers, Strict Teachers and Funny Teachers. All these classifications for teachers are based on some typical personality traits of the teachers. For ex - some teachers constantly criticize the students, some act like friends, some are fun to be with and so on. Classification Essay Assignment Sheet

Your assignment is to write a classification essay using one of the topics listed on the “suggested topics” list. If you have another idea, feel free to contact me (one week prior to the deadline at the latest) and get permission to write about the topic of your choice. Your essay should consist of an interesting introduction that interests the reader and leads to your classification. You will most likely want to set the scene in the first paragraph or two. Make sure that your topic is relevant to others. You want your reader to relate to what you say and think, “That is SO true.” The essay should have a thesis that makes a general comment about the subject. This comment should communicate a meaningful theme. For example, in the paper about the dysfunctional people in the pharmacy, the writer’s thesis is that most people are not at their best when at the pharmacy because they are vulnerable—either they feel bad, or someone they care for is feeling bad. A POOR thesis simply says, “There are lots of different kinds of _________________”.
The body of your paper will be composed of the various classification categories and descriptions of those things that fall into those categories. It is also important to have quality

An essay must have a clear thesis that will help me structure the essay. After prewriting, I learned to read everything I had written down to be able to take some ideas that might go into my paper. Before this class, I used to concentrate in one single point and write very little on other points. This class has forced me to structure my paper in a way that everyone can understand. I always tried to adopt the habit of using clear, straightforward and concise words, that way my writing is clear and effective. To have an essay that everyone understands, I know that I need to make sure that my ideas are…

Teachers tend to emphasize the importance of a thesis: having and knowing how to use one. A thesis is an essential part of one’s essay because it allows the readers to know what the essay is about. It may be a leading compass to one’s essay or a creation developed from one’s journey.
