Friedrich Nietzsche
Friedrich Nietzsche was born in October of 1844 and died in August of 1900.   Nietzsche was a German philosopher as well as a classic philologist.   He studied religion, morality, philosophy and science.   Nietzsche teachings are said to be controversial and there’s still much room for interpretation regarding his theories.   He is responsible for the book the “Birth of Tragedy” and his two ways of thinking.   Nietzsche describes these two ways of thinking as being Apollonian and Dionysian.  
One way of looking at the Apollonian way of thinking is envisioning light, symmetry, architecture along with reason.   The Dionysian way of thinking revolves around darkness, asymmetrical, dancing and music but with passion instead of reason.   My way of looking at the Dionysian way of thinking is considering that it’s the “pessimistic” outlook on life whereas the Apollonian way of thinking is more like an optimistic outlook on life in general.  
After reading about Nietzsche’s Transvaluation of Values and how he describes the Genealogy of Morals, its seems like he uses his two outlooks on life to conform these ideas.   Nietzsche’s Transvaluation of Values questions our ancestral morals and values.   He’s asking how are ideas of “good” and “bad” have stayed the same over this many decades, and if they really have then have they changed in any way?   I think our morals and values are always changing to keep up with modern day.   The overall look at what is good and bad are still generically the same.   Success, excellence and power are still good things that people strive for every day in life.   Just as weakness, cowering and powerless people feel intimidated and under judged by these “good” people.   The part of Nietzsche’s “Master Mentality” versus the “Slave Mentality” is where I would disagree with him.   Being powerful, successful and having excellence in your life used to be looked at as “good” things, whereas the weak and powerless people were saw as “bad” or...
