Kudler Fine Foods is a smaller chain of gourmet markets that offer the best meats, produce, cheese and wines.   Their clientele is based upon customers that care more for quality of a product rather than a product that costs less because of the cheaper nature in which it was created and/or what its contents are.   Kudler Fine Foods would like to implement a first class flight seat upgrades, specialty foods, and other high-end gifts. Overview
This project includes the process of collecting data from customer transactions and using this data to create a point system that would account for the number of dollars that are spent each time the customer purchases a product from the store.   Over time these points would be accumulated and then could be used towards high-end gifts and specialty foods.   The implementation of the system would be electronically done and would have a home-based website that would be able to be accessed from any internet connection (providing the connection is fast enough and firewall settings are set properly).   With any internet website there is always the threat of internet attacks and privacy issues.   This poses a large threat for the legal, ethical, and security areas of this implementation.  
Legal, ethical, and security
From the legal standpoint of having a website and newly implemented software, there is always the legal issue of mistakes or system failures that arise that can procure issues within the company that can effect reputation, credibility, and having a negative impact on either of those categories can be catastrophic for a business.   This system is going to be implemented to satisfy secure encryption to ensure privacy for the customers’ personal information as well as credit card information that is stored within the newly implemented database.   Securing a customers’ private information is not only a good practice of good ethics, but will give...
