To persuade my audience to donate their organs and tissues when they die and to act upon their decision to donate.
The need is constantly growing for organ donors and it is very simple to be an organ donor when you die. Introduction
I. How do you feel when you have to wait for something you really, really desire? What if it was something you were unable to live without? A. Most people who need an organ donated have to wait for who knows how long before they are notified that they have a donor donator. B. Organ donation is the giving of biological tissue or an organ of the human body, from a living or dead person to a living recipient in need of a transplantation. II. In researching organ donation, I have learned that there is an extreme importance to many other people that require organs that they don’t have. III. I will be informing you about the three main factors of organ donation-the need for organ donors in our area, how you can become an organ donor after you die, and how your family and organ donor recipients benefit from your donation. I. Many people that live in the United Sates and in the rest of the world all need organ transplants and they need our assistance. A. The problem is that there is a lack of organs and organ donors who make organ transplantation possible because the many needs are organs and tissues such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreas, corneas, bone, skin, heart valves, and blood vessels. II. Plus a new name is added to the national waiting list every 16 minutes for an organ donation. A. With seeing that many numbers, it’s hard to see how it doesn’t grab the majority of the populations’ attention. B. You can choose to donate any needed organs or you can specify which organs or tissues you wish to donate.
