Frank Sinatra wasn’t just a legend; he was an inspiration to many people around the world. Franks parents were Italian and gave him the name Francis Albert Francis. In December 12, 1915, Sinatra was born in Hoboken, New Jersey.(Sinatra’s Birth) When being born with forceps, Frank received a permanent scar on his cheek along with rupturing an eardrum. Frank grew up in New Jersey and led many gangs while dropping out of school at age 15. Frank Sinatra died on May 14, 1998 with a heart attack along with bladder cancer.
His parents were Italians that moved to Hoboken and raised Frank in the American-Italian working neighborhood. Frank’s father, Anthony Martin Sinatra was a local fireman and also was a professional boxer. Frank’s mother, Natalie Della Sinatra was a political activist for the women’s rights movement. He had four wives in his life time including Nancy Barbato, Ava Gardner, Mia Farrow, and Barbara Marx. All of Sinatra’s kids were conceived with his first wife Nancy and were named Nancy, Frank Jr., and Christina. When Frank Jr. was nineteen years old he was kidnapped by an insane man (Relationships). Frank Sr. offered one million dollars but was turned down by the man which led to his arrest. When Frank was of young age he went to school and was very involved in the glee club. Also he was in a gang on the streets of Hoboken and his parents later moved to a different street. Instantly after middle school, Frank dropped out and focused on his music career by singing at local clubs. Sinatra never went to college but followed his inspirations, Bing Crosby and Rudy Vallee to make music. One year for Sinatra’s birthday his uncle got him a ukulele so he could play on warm nights while the sun went down. He did not really have an education but he made a difference in the music business at a young age.
