Issue:
In the movie Fracture a man shoots his wife who lives and is in a coma. He is charged with attempted murder. He is aquited on grounds of not enough evidence. Later he then uses his legal power of attorney to kill his wife by pulling the plug. At the end he is charged with murder in the 1st degree even though his shot was not the couse of death. She was killed legally and therfore he should not of been able to have been charged with murder. In addition a doctor reported that she would of actually outlived her husband. Since the shot had nothing medically to do with her death and her killing was in the peramiters of the law is it legally posible to charge the man with murder in the 1st degree.

I enjoy reading Fae Myenne Ng 's Bone. I find her novel easy to read and understand. Although she included some phrases the Chinese use, I find no difficulty in understanding them, as I 'm Chinese myself. The novel Bone is written in a circular narrative form, in which the story doesn 't follow the linear format where the suspense slowly builds up and finally reaches a climax stage. Rather the story 's time sequence is thrown back and forth. I find this format of writing brings greater suspense and mystery to the reader. When I read the book, my mind was always wondering what reasons or causes made Ona commit suicide, and this made me want to continue reading the book to know the outcome. The happenings in the story do portray reality of the lives of Chinese immigrants in America, their hardship and difficulty in adapting American lifestyle and culture. For the younger generations, adapting the American culture and lifestyle is much easier than for the older generations. This is shown in the book and it also happens in reality, which is another reason why I like this book. This is a fiction novel, but the story told is like a non-fiction book; giving readers a sense of realism. As a Chinese reading Bone, I understand the narrator 's feelings and predicaments. Although she is an Asian, her thinking lies more on the American side. Leila wants to move out to stay with Mason but yet she fears leaving her mother alone and also of what her mother might say in regards to a girl staying with a man before marriage. In Asian culture, cohabitation is not popular and widely accepted. In the book 's narrative hierarchy, I find the narrator placed herself at the top, always wanting or hoping that things were done her way or that she should know everything of what 's going on. Mason is placed second, while her mother is placed third. I don 't blame her for placing Mason above her mother. It is quite natural because once you 've found a mate to be with for life,…

Cobb, one of the victim's mom, she says he was 23 when he was killed and she saw him die. As for the defense they attempt to ask her how many people her son raped or kidnapped in the 23 years he was alive. The judge instructs her not to answer that question and the prosecution's objection is accepted, the jury is also told to disregard the last question. The second witness is Sheriff Walls who is black, which is important because blacks tend to help out other blacks as you’ll see. Prosecution just asks the sheriff to I.D. the murder weapon and to tell whether or not the prints matched the prints of Lee and they did. Next, the defense asks the sheriff arrested Cobb before the murder and he said yes for rape and attempted murder. The rednecks also signed a paper saying that they did do both of those things which the sheriff was not supposed to say yes to, but he did. The jury was instructed by the judge to disregard, but that’s hard to do once he said yes. The third witness is Deputy Looney who was shot by Lee in his act of killing the rednecks. Prosecution questions first asking if he was present at the shooting he says yes, he then asks him how he was shot and he answers by saying I think a bullet bounced off the ground and hit me. They ask him is he got a clear shot at the shooter and the Deputy says no I did not, but that Lee went and apologized to him in the hospital basically admitting it was him. Now it's the defense's turn they ask him if he…

A clavicle fracture is also known as a broken collarbone. The collarbone is located between the ribcage (sternum) and the shoulder blade (scapula); this connects the arm to the body. (Orthoinfo) The clavicle is a long bon and most breaks occur in the middle. On very rare occasions, it will break where it attaches at the ribcage of shoulder blade. (Orthoinfo) Although it lies above several important nerves and blood vessels, injuries are rare to these nerves and blood vessels even if during the break the ends of the bone shift. (Orthoinfo) A collarbone fracture can occur in people of all ages. Most of these fractures occur in men younger than the age of 25, it’s not as common in women at all. (Pecci) When it comes to clavicle fractures in children the odds are much different. Younger children have a high risk of this fracture because their bones have not completely hardened yet and are still growing, causing the increase in susceptibility. (Atanda) Usually this fracture takes place in a contact sport such as football, wrestling, rugby, lacrosse, and hockey. (Atanda) But, there is a few non-contact sports where this injury can also occur; such as, biking, skiing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. (Atanda)…

We are here today to debate whether Dale Reynolds should be charged with the first degree murder of his step father Thomas Simson. First, there are a few facts that no one is debating. On September 30, 1999, Dale Reynolds shot his stepfather as he entered the room. This is a fact the witness has testified as such. It is also a fact that he had planned to do so some time before. If taken literally, this would fall in first degree murder because Dale Reynolds had premeditated intent of shooting Thomas Simson. However, the second degree murder law states that the accused cannot be charged of the first degree if the actions made by Dale Reynolds were of self-defense, and if the accused had reason to believe he was in danger at the time. Like many…
