However different countries may have different resources and availability, Therefor doesn't have to limit to those resources, the biogas can be harvest from external places like old landfill, sewage ponds, and wood waste. some less agricultural regions in Europe use wind farms and hydroelectric dams. Mainly trying to find renewable sources as fossil fuels are expensive and to decrease the carbon footprint and the carbon trading tax.
The biogas produced by the resources release a gas named Methane which is then either burned or refines, the purpose of this is to create the generative energy, thereafter energy can be used in multiple purposes for example; for heat, electricity and fuel for cars and buses, This gas will have a much smaller contribution into global warming due to carbon dioxide emissions which are much less than fossil fuels.
