Experiencing these 2 operas, I was able to comprehend the incredible talents of the Auburn University’s Department of Music Opera Workshop performers. Each performance allowed the performers to showcase their vocal talents greatly; as well as showing their strict practicing by knowing the vocal queues with the music as well as with each other to never sound off or un-synced with each other.…

As a member of the freshman womens choir at Concordia, I often find myself serving the community. Our choir is frequently asked to attend local churches where we sing both hymns and pieces prepared in advance by our choir. Out of our more commercial performances, the Concordia Christmas Concert is the most renowned. Each year we get the opportunity to perform at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, one year of which Concordia won an Emmy for the show…

When the audience had sat down, the conductor came up the stage and took the microphone when he welcomed everybody especially the quest who came from out of the country to participate in this event. During his introductory speech, I understood that the Welcome Christmas was a tittle that had graced vocal Essence programs for so many years. This was a vast range of glorious music of the season, past and present. It almost seemed like they could never run out of special music for Christmas. The most exciting thing at the beginning of the concert was the introduction of the premiere performances of a lovely new cantata by an English man Alan Bullard. There was also a preparation of Scandinavian carols from Denmark, inland, Norway and Sweden and some familiar new and fulfilled charmed melodies.…

The Oglethorpe University Singers and the Oglethorpe Chorale performed the concert at Conant Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 1, 2015, at 8 pm. The concert setting was smaller than the other venues we visited for previous concerts. The room was semi-lit, and classmates filled the concert hall. The concert conventions were not surprising as we have attended other concerts, and the conventions were the same. The Oglethorpe Singer and the Oglethorpe Chorale performance was excellent, they were in sync, and everyone did great. It was my first concert, and I was very impressed because they sounded like professional musicians.…

This year at PXHS there was a great musical called the Music Man. The musical was truly serious and hilarious. There were many phrases and jokes being said that I did not understand, but the adults did. I saw that the people who played the characters practiced hard on the dancing, singing and acting. They had to memorize many lines, especially Harold Hill and Marian Paroo. The musical took place in River City. It was a story about a librarian/piano teacher and a traveling salesman. At first, they did not really like each other, but in some way, they fell in love. The musical was very fascinating, beautiful, and humorous.…

For my theatre venture, I visited the Gratz College Theater’s rendition of Beauty and the Beast on May 26th. When attending a musical based on a Disney film, the attendees will make critics based on the original movie. This particular production far exceeded any expectations I had going into the theater. Spanning from the directors, to the stage director, to the music played, it was a superb production. The movement and enthusiasm of the actors made the viewer feel like they were transported to that very small French town.…

Superb musicianship and masterful command of instrument take the stage at the Heinz Hall, the home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. For this day, the orchestra is playing the classic works of three legendary composers: Schumann, Liszt, and Strauss. As I took my seat I realized that this place is packed with a full audience; dressed in their Sundays best, tipsy off of Wine, and ready to ‘engage’ in an experience, a musical experience. As I sat down I realized that I was in for a long night, for this type of concert was not my forte. I did not want to be there nor pay attention to the concert at all, only for the completion of this paper But little did I know, I was about to attend one of the greatest musical experiences that I have witnessed.…

On Friday night, November 22th, a great concert was held again in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre of Brock University. This concert was performed by four young, energetic, and talent musicians: Vera Alekseeva play a violin, Austin Hitchcock plays a French horn, and Karin Di Bella plays piano. When I entered the theatre, my eyes were immediately caught by a beautiful piano on the stage under the bright light. Some students were taking pictures of the instruments. Before the concert start, the musicians were briefly introduced themselves and descript about the pieces they going to play. The audiences were exciting and interesting for the concert. It was a perfect opportunity to experience such a wide variety of music.…

On the 3 November 2012, my classmates and I were to attend a music dance concert in the Feddersen Recital Hall in Mount San Antonio College. we were being seat in the circle, where I can observed most things from the floor above. The hall is quite a small grand but in simple and elegant way, and with simple lighting. I love it although it is not as large-scale as others performance at Los Angeles downtown. Before the performance begins, there was whispered in the hall as the spectators were discussing what to anticipate from this dance concert and most of them dress in semi formal. As for the performers, they carefully and delicately tune their instruments to the precise pitch and their dressing and preparing for this performance.…
