Executive Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world. It manufactures and distributes automobiles across six continents. The company's automotive vehicle brands include Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Volvo. The company primarily operates in the US and Europe. It is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, and employs about 164,000 people. The company recorded revenues of $128,954 million during the fiscal year ended December 2010 (FY2010), an increase of 10.9% over FY2009. The operating profit of the company was $7,149 million during FY2010, as compared to an operating profit of $2,599 million in FY2009. The net profit was $6,561 million in FY2010, as compared to a net profit of $2,717 million in FY2009.
