When we travel day to day and don’t really seem to have time to stop, breath, and take some time to take personal fitness in to consideration, how do we take care of our selves? Well, when I really sit and think of some of the things that could really help my personal fitness, I always find a way to keep active. I travel a lot. I go from Indiana to Georgia, and I will soon be moving to Korea. With all that I still try and make time to get up and move or make a quick routine that with keep me strong and flexible. I would like to take the time to explain it to all of my fellow go doers and travelers. It’s quick and easy (and pocket book friendly) workout!
Now, with any workout you do there are precautions that you have to take, Not only for your safety but certain precautions will help you to get the most benefit out of your workout. I want to take just a moment to tell you about the SPORT/FITT principles. First, let’s start with FITT. The “F” in FITT sands for Frequency. You want to make sure that you’re working out enough, just not too much. You need to allow your body time to heal from any strenuous workouts. The “I” in FITT stands for Intensity. This takes a look at the amount of effort that we should be investing in our training programs and sessions. You want to make sure that whatever you’re doing is going to be enough work to get your body going and to reach your target heart rate. This brings us to our first “T”. The “T” stands for Type. When you start a workout you want to make sure that you know what kind or type of workout that you will want to participate in to achieve your appropriate training response. Now for our last “T”, Time. How long should you exercise? How much do you need to exercise? If you use all of these main principles you are going to have more healthy and happy workouts. But let’s not forget SPORT.
