CHAPTER I

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

NAME OF THE ENTERPRISE
You've made the decision to go into business. The first obstacle you will run into is choosing a good business name. There are choices to be made and there is no single, correct solution. A business name is an individual decision and one that you should spend some time on. A great name is the beginning of a great brand. It should be memorable and create a certain feeling when heard. The business will be named “THE VEGGIE BURGER”. The proponents chose the said name because it best describes the product that we will be offering in the market.

LOCATION
THE VEGGIE BURGER will be located at Basement Level, food court area of Starmall Alabang.

DESCRIPTIVE DEFINITION OF THE PROJECT
THE VEGGIE BURGER is a business that will offer a new variant of burger. The target markets are men and women ages 25 and up. We also aim to introduce to children who commonly love eating burgers. Since, a lot of people nowadays are health conscious, we decided to provide a healthy alternative for hamburgers that people will surely love not just because of its taste but also because of its health benefits.

PROJECTS LONG RANGE OBJECTIVES
Since the business is only a start-up business, the proponents will base on the long-range objectives after its one year of service and operation. For now, we can only state as an own objectives is to produce a healthy food for a healthy you.

CHAPTER II

INTRODUCTION

The veggie burger, by name, may have been created in London in 1982 by Gregory Sams, who called it the 'VegeBurger'. Gregory and his brother Craig had run a natural food restaurant in Paddington since th 1960s. A Carrefour hypermarket in Southampton sold 2000 packets in three weeks after its launch. According to Wikipedia, a veggie burger is a hamburger-style patty that does not contain meat. The patty of a veggie burger may be made, for example, from vegetables, textured vegetable protein (soy meat), legumes, nuts, dairy products, mushrooms, wheat, or eggs. The business will be named THE VEGGIE BURGER. It will offer a different style of hamburger which does not contain meat. The proponents choose potato as its major component for the burger patty because of its nutritional components.

The target markets are men and women ages 25 and up. They will be the best market because those people are becoming more health conscious and children which create a large volume of sales especially in burger.

Place for business will be at the Basement Level, Food Court area of Starmall Alabang beside Master Siomai.
Nowadays, people always prefer for a new taste. That’s why THE VEGGIE BURGER has been created by the proponents.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The project when implemented will have significant impact to the community where it will be operated - Increase the number of people who eat healthy food.
- Children recognize vegetables instead of meat.
- Decrease of unemployment rate with regards to the people that will operate the business. The results of the study will certainly become a basis to decide whether to pursue the business or not. The study will serve as a useful data bank of information to researchers and would be investors especially finance, marketing, and management of their kind of business. The information will help for a knowledgeable procedure of producing a vegetable burger. It will therefore minimize or rather neglect the possible errors which may also lead to the failure of enterprise.

SCOPE AND DELIMITAION
The study concerns for the healthy diet of people. Nowadays, product will offer various options such as Classic Crunchy Burger and Crunchy Cheese Burger
