1. To provide multiple paths into the field of accountancy, business, economics and hospitality management that will create a wide range of career options for students 2. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is an introductory course intended to equip the students with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts and principles of research. It also provides the necessary skill in the various procedures and techniques in conducting research, data gathering, statistical techniques and documents construction. The process and the composition of the project feasibility studies are included in the topics discussed in this subject.

AUDIENCE
The class is intended for third year BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Management Students and BSBA Major in Marketing Management COURSE OBJECTIVES
GENERAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of the semester, the students are expected to have an approved proposed feasibility study.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

At the end of the semester, the students are expected to:

1. To explain the importance of research distinction between and among the types of research.

2. To enumerate and explain the various ways of collecting data, enumerate and explain the criteria in the selection and construction of a good research instrument. Design a research instrument appropriate to the study.

3. To discuss the appropriate statistical technique that can be used in the presentation, analysis and interpretation of data.

4. Explain the importance of feasibility study in the development of business and economy, the role it plays in the development of entrepreneurship.

5. The first part of a feasibility study, it explains and discusses the contents, summarizing the market, technical, financial, socio – economic and organization and management feasibility of the project.
