Financial leadership profiles
The Chief Executive Officer of Home Depot is Frank Blake, appointed to this position in 2007. The Chief Financial Officer of Home Depot is Carol B. Tome, appointed in May of 2001. Tome was named executive vice president of corporate services at Home Depot in 2007. Her corporate financial duties are financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financial operations, division finance, internal audit, investor relations, treasury and tax. She provides her leadership skills in real estate, store construction, financial services, strategic business development, and growth initiatives. Tome started at Home Depot in 1995. Before that, she was vice president and treasurer of Riverwood International Corporation. She started her career as a commercial lender and then on to the position of director of banking. Since joining the Home Depot team she has joined the UPS board of directors and serves as chair of the audit committee.  
In 2008 she joined the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and serves as chair of the board. In 2012 she became the chair of the board of The Metropolitan Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

In February 2012 Home depot reported sales of 16.0 for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, a 5.9 percent increase from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010. Comparable store sales for the fourth quarter of 2011 were positive 5.7 percent, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 6.1 percent. Net earnings for the fourth quarter were $774 million, or $.50 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $587 million, or $.36 per diluted share, in the same period of fiscal 2010. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, diluted earnings per share increased 38.9 percent from the prior year.
