RE: Usability Analysis Report

Dear Ms. Tan:

We have completed our usability analysis of the webpage advertised in your business cards for information regarding your business. We have conducted a survey of 30 UNLV students in regards to the website. This report will inform you of the results of our experiment and the appropriate steps you should take for improving the brand of your business.

The survey conducted revealed that our hypothesis was on mark. Super Nails could gather more market share if the website was transferred to its own domain name rather than to use Google business page as the main website. The qualitative data gathered by the surveyors also inferred on certain applications and features that would help make the website go beyond that of standard websites for ultimate consumer experience.

We were joyful to have used Super Nails as our assignment website and hope that you find the Usability Analysis Report useful as guidance to further expand your business. We wish you the best and thank you for the free manicures.

Executive Summary


This project includes the data and statistics analyzed from the data to show the validity of our work. Definitions will be provided for statistical terms and an explanation in layman’s terms so the everyday person can understand. Attached is the Usability Analysis Report prepared for the business, Super Nails.


Our client, Chia Tan, operates her business in East Las Vegas on the corner on Nellis and Charleston. In 2008, Ms. Tan started her business, Super Nails. It has slowly gained a growing clientele base. Super Nails comes with 8 stations, were currently only 5 are rented out and 1 belongs to her.


Super Nails has seen stagnant growth over the last two years, in order to stay competitive they must create a website with its own domain, instead of depending on the Google business page. The question here is:

How effective is the current site at establishing the behavior to act and try Super Nails?


Using published surveys from the Journal of Marketing (Tier 1) we were able to borrow a survey that has been proven to scientifically work. We used two constructs, Complexity and Persuasiveness. In addition, we added our own questions, such as the importance of certain features and webpages in a website.

The testing revealed that our hypothesis was on mark, and that people search the web more than ever when looking for a business and looking at business webpage will determine their final act.


The following represents our recommendations on features to be added to improve Super Nails as a whole by adding a website.
