This report presents the details of my Internship experiences at PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad as a trainee from July 2010 to November 2010.
This report consist into a few sections which first consists of the introduction where briefly explained about the internship objectives and the host company’s profile. Next will be the main task and minor that I undergo during my industrial training. Toward last part of this report are the lesson and experiences learnt and gained, subject related and some recommendation to College MCS and my host company. There are lots of knowledge and experiences that I’ve been through during the 4 ½ months training.
The last part is the conclusion of the internship itself on how the objectives were met and the training was a successful.

Firstly I want to acknowledge, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad that willing to take me as their intern at Business Technology Department for 4 ½ months. It was a really memorable experience due to their friendly and comfortable environment.
Moreover, I really want to acknowledge BTD’s manager, Mr. Faiz bin Yusof because he always give motivations to his employees so that they will work harder in order to complete their projects. Beside that BTD’s Senior Manager, Mr. Muhammad bin Hashim who has the leadership value that make others make look up to him as a mentor.
Furthermore, I really want to thank to my supervisor Ms Anisa because she had taught me a lot about the systems. Now I can understand how the systems work, how the petrol service station do their daily transaction, what is the route of data that being sent and receive by the petrol service station. It was an interesting and fun experience to learn the actual system works. I also have the opportunity to learn in depth on their loyalty system which is the main system that I had been assigned for my internship.
Beside that, I also want to acknowledge my beloved lecturers from MCS College who ensure that I have a place to do my internship and to management of MCS College that approved my application to do my internship at PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad.
4.1 AIM OF INTERNSHIP
The aim of Internship Program is to reveal the working environment to the trainee to gain knowledge, learn the skills and application on technology needs. Furthermore, during this internship, the student can develop other skills such as working ethics, communications, leadership, and management skills. Thus, all these skill will help the student in future time.
4.2 THE OBJECTIVES OF INTERNSHIP
The main objectives of Internship Program are:
i. Manage work activities and time effectively and efficiently. ii. Use correct procedures in handling files and identifying basic needs of an organization in filling processes. iii. Understanding responsibilities when conducting a meeting, business field trip and other business related activities. iv. Exposure to the way of jobs analysis and evaluating the work performance, developing and relationship of workers. v. Understand the system and procedures for processing, maintenance, achievement and presentation of information.
