Communication has changed in many ways but most is done in memos, letters, and e-mails in a business setting. Educating yourself on the correct format when sending an e-mail to a client or your boss is important because once you are in a professional setting you will not have anyone helping you correct every mistake. Letters are usually sent to those outside of the business, memos go to those within the business or organization, and e-mails are sent to everyone including clients so it is important to ensure they are done correctly. Using paraphrased material can be risky unless you are sending a memo or e-mail to a work colleague who knows the abbreviated notions within the workplace. Oral communication is important as well because without the proper speaking skills you will never get your point across. Knowing how to write speaker notes and a well made PowerPoint presentation will help to get the message across to your audience. Group communication can be a difficult task but knowing how to solve disagreements and everyone within the group knowing what their task is and when it is due helps the communication flow and gets the project done. Communication within the workplace is everyday and therefore the communication needs to be understandable to all. Educating yourself in communications is important for a career in business. The change in The Clothing Store’s hours will not only affect the employees and public but management as well. To remind those who were not at the meeting The Clothing Store will be closed on Sundays until further notice, and our Monday through Saturday hours are as follows; we will be closing an hour early and opening an hour later than our regular store hours. As for the rumors of opening a new store, those are false statements but I would like to reiterate that the current locations will not be closing their doors permanently.
The Clothing Store has made these minor adjustments to compete with current gas prices to keep our doors open and those employed. Changing our hours and closing on Sundays will save the amount of money needed to stay in business. Cutting back on all employees hours including managers will help pay for the current cost of the business.
Thank you for your time and hard work, we ask for your patience in these tough times and hope you will understand the decision of closing on Sundays and cutting weekday hours at The Clothing Store.
